One quality product is better than two disposable ones
The most sustainable choice is often to reduce production altogether. That’s why we focus on making durable, high-quality coffee makers—so you only need one instead of two.
No need for excess packaging
We use only cardboard from certified sustainable forestry, have reduced Styrofoam usage by 26 tons annually, and are now working towards making all our packaging fully recyclable.
Fewer transport stages
Better logistics planning allows us to avoid unnecessary storage and find more environmentally friendly shipping options for both retailers and end customers.
Can it be fixed? Of course!
With an increasing number of spare parts and new service centers, we make it even easier and more affordable to repair rather than replace.
Social responsibility
Proper products should be made under proper conditions. We never manufacture anything without personally visiting the site to ensure that all laws and regulations are followed.
Environment and social responsibility
Statement in accordance with the Transparency Act
The purpose of the Norwegian Transparency Act, which came into effect on July 1, 2022, is to ensure that Norwegian companies promote good working conditions and respect human rights throughout their supply chains
Additionally, we strictly adhere to both national and international regulations to ensure that our products do not contain harmful or banned substances, in compliance with directives such as ROHS, REACH, and food contact regulations. Wilfa is also committed to ethical guidelines, and all employees and suppliers must adhere to our Code of Business Ethics.
As a Norwegian company, Wilfa is strongly committed to environmental sustainability and reducing our ecological footprint. That’s why we have developed our own environmental management system to measure and track our impact. Wilfa has been an Eco-Lighthouse certified company since 2019 and will be certified according to the ISO 14001 environmental standard in 2020.
Since 2018, we have also invested in carbon offsets to achieve climate neutrality across passenger transport, freight, office operations, and more.
Many of Wilfa’s products already use FSC-certified cardboard and paper, and our goal is to transition all our products to this standard by 2020. FSC ensures that we use paper sourced from sustainable forestry.
We have also eliminated Styrofoam from many of our products and replaced it with more environmentally friendly alternatives. Additionally, we are working to phase out harmful plastics such as polyethylene in our packaging, replacing them with more sustainable and compostable materials like PLA and PHA.
