Wilfa wins both the Red Dot and the iF Design Award 2023 for Probaker food processor and Smooth Mix hand blender.
Functional and user-friendly design with intelligent functions are our main focus when developing new products. It is therefore an honor to be recognized for this work by both the Red Dot Award and the iF Design Award and to receive the Product Design Award 2023 for both the Probaker food processor and the Smooth Mix hand blender.

For the Red Dot Award, the products were thoroughly scrutinized and evaluated for their design quality and degree of innovation, among other things. According to the Red Dot Award, being selected from a strong group of participants is a testament to the exceptional quality of the products.
The iF Final jury evaluates each product on the basis of five criteria: Differentiation, Form, Function, Idea and Impact. Both the Probaker food processor and the Smooth Mix hand blender received high scores for each of the five criteria. The Probaker focused on form and idea and the Smooth Mix on differentiation.

The Probaker food processor is designed to utilize the unique features of professional stand mixers while maintaining a minimalist, home-friendly design. The visual form of the product is strongly linked to the function.
During development, Wilfa and Eker Design worked with both the Norwegian Bakers' Association and some hand-picked, enthusiastic amateur bakers to achieve the goal of developing a food processor that delivers a professional baking result for every user, regardless of experience.
Wilfa Smooth Mix hand mixer
The Smooth Mix has been designed and developed with human factors in mind. By focusing on the tactile points in addition to the functional qualities, the Wilfa Smooth Mix feels like something new.
Special attention has been paid to the geometry of the beaters, which has been optimized for efficient whipping of cream, egg whites and other foaming substances.
For the design and development process, we combined our internal product development resources with the Norwegian design agency Permafrost. Together with our bakery experts, the goal was to achieve optimal settings for low and high speeds, with sufficient torque to handle dough hooks and a heavy workload, all in one elegant package.
